Spring Bloom Celebration Cake
A generous vanilla celebration cake made for birthdays and gatherings of approximately 20 people.
Our vanilla mud cake is covered with smooth Italian buttercream and finished with colourful edible flowers, each piped by hand.
Italian buttercream begins with whipped egg whites and a cooked sugar syrup before the butter is incorporated. This creates a lighter, smoother and more structured buttercream than conventional American buttercream—beautiful for piping and refined to eat.

Spring Bloom was made for birthdays and celebrations that bring a larger group around the table.
Weighing more than 2 kg and serving approximately 20 people, it offers the generosity an occasion cake needs while keeping the flavour familiar and inviting. Vanilla mud cake is finished with Italian buttercream and a joyful arrangement of edible flowers, each piped by hand.
It is colourful enough to become the centre of the table, yet relaxed enough for family birthdays, milestone gatherings, workplace celebrations and long lunches with friends.
THE ITALIAN BUTTERCREAM DIFFERENCE
Lighter, smoother and made with care
Italian buttercream begins differently from the more familiar American style.
We pour a cooked sugar syrup into whipped egg whites before gradually incorporating the butter. This creates a smooth, lighter and more structured buttercream that holds the piped flowers beautifully while remaining refined to eat.
It takes greater care and temperature control to prepare. On Spring Bloom, the buttercream is both the cake’s frosting and the material from which every flower, leaf and decorative detail is made.
DECORATED BY HAND
Every flower is part of the cake
Every pink and golden flower, ivory sweep and green leaf is made from our Italian buttercream and piped directly onto the cake.
There are no fresh flowers to remove and no decorative blooms to set aside before serving. Everything you see is edible and made to be enjoyed as part of the cake.
Because each flower is shaped and positioned by hand, small variations will occur from one Spring Bloom cake to the next. The established palette and overall character remain consistent, while the individual details retain the natural variation of something made by a person.
Something We Noticed
The flowers do not all settle in quite the same way.
One opens a little wider. Another holds its centre tightly. The piping bag lifts, the cake turns, and the next one finds its place.

Keep Spring Bloom refrigerated.
For the best flavour and texture, remove the cake from refrigeration approximately 30–40 minutes before serving. Place it in a cool position away from direct sunlight or heat. This allows the Italian buttercream to soften gently and the flavours of the cake to open fully.
Return any remaining cake to refrigeration after serving.
Spring Bloom is available for pickup from our West End and Wintergarden stores or for delivery throughout our established cake-delivery areas.
