We baked our first brownies in the old Brekky Creek bar kitchen, just one oven, one mixer, and the old beer taps still bolted to the bench. From those beginnings, we’ve grown into Brisbane’s original Luxury Brownie™ house, explore our Brownie Collection. We smile now remembering that back in those days, our trays shared space with bottle openers that were left from the old pub that had been there through the eighties. Our kids, still small, played cubby house under desks draped in sheets while the smell of Belgian chocolate drifted through the air.

We check the bake of every tray, ensuring consistency and quality, one by one.
Machines could speed this up. But they’d also strip out the judgment, the feel, our textures, the little choices we make in the moment. And we believe you can taste the difference.

Over the years, we’ve seen some local businesses explore automation robot chefs, high-efficiency systems, and ingredient pumps. For many, it’s a way to scale and keep costs manageable. But for us, it would mean changing the very food we set out to make. Our recipes weren’t designed for machines, and we’re not willing to redesign them for convenience. Our customers choose us for something different: food that holds onto its humanity. That care extends beyond brownies, even our cakes are handmade from scratch.
