After many months of searching and then many more building ( !) , Dello Manois excited to announce that we’ve finally found our new second home! We opened our newest location two weeks ago at Merthyr Village, a retail and dining community at the heart of Brisbane’s picturesque New Farmneighborhood. The New Farm shop offers all the luxurious brownies and fanciful cakes that established Dello Mano’s reputation as Australia’s leading Luxury Brownie baker. Our thoughtful, passionate in-store staff can help you choose and package the perfect cake and brownie sets for all your food gift-giving and personal-treating needs. If you’d like to linger a little longer, don’t forget that the shop isn’t just a place to stock up on baked goods — it’s also a lovely place for brunch!

In honor of our New Farm location, we’ve recently launched a new brunch service, freshly-designed with Brisbane’s warm, breezy afternoons in mind. The light, sophisticated menu spans from on-trend smoothie bowls (suitable for even the raw vegan in your party) to French-inspired tartines, open-faced sourdough sandwiches generously topped with premium ingredients such as avocado and smoked salmon or fresh mozzarella and truffle oil. We also make our own granola and offer premium quality brioche buns, and croissants, which we serve plain, stuffed with ham and cheese, or spread with jam and butter. Our innovative chefs create new selections for our guests daily; just glance at the board to see what farm-fresh salad or frittata they’ve thought up today. We also offer delicious flawlessly flaky crusts in our sweet and savoury pies and French tarts, available by the slice or whole for take-away.

To round off your meal, we offer a full list of desserts, including cake and brownie tasting plates, sweet pies, milkshakes, and dizzyingly decadent brownie sundaes. The sundaes start with one of our signature brownies warmed to melting tenderness, then topped with gelato, Belgian chocolate or caramel sauce, and a crunchy crumble of pecans, ginger cookies, or honeycomb crisp. We suggest pairing these desserts with a pot of tea, hot chocolate, or hand-crafted espresso drink from our carefully-curated selection. Of course, you don’t have to listen to our suggestions — feel free to skip straight to dessert and choose a sundae for your meal. With brownies this addictive, we won’t judge.

There are few better places in Brisbane to enjoy a leisurely meal surrounded by friends and a genuine village atmosphere than Dello Mano at Merthyr Village; our shop is an idyllic oasis amid the bustling city. You’ll be served either in our cozy indoor seating area or in a covered courtyard with French rattan chairs and bistro-style tables, a scene straight out of a Parisian summer daydream. Tall, graceful fiddle-leaf fig trees shelter the seating area, making a miniature urban greenery out of our little cafe. In such a beautiful location, you may want to stay and chat even past the two-meal timespan that comprises brunch. If you happen to be in on a Saturday or Sunday, feel free to join us for our weekend High Teaas well. At High Tea, we serve an elegant array of our signature brownies and mini-mini cakes, complement the sweets with handmade scones and ribbon sandwiches, and present it all on gilded two-tier tea stands. It’s a girls’-day-out like no other in town. (Please note that High Tea bookings are essential though no booking is required for our Brunch Menu or cakes/desserts.)

If you’d like to take a stroll after your Dello Mano brunch or tea, look no farther than the neighborhood surrounding our shop — New Farm is one of the most picturesque, walkable areas in Brisbane. The neighborhood, which is known for its shady laurel-lined streets and historical homes, has a distinctly European flair and deep Italian roots. Careful tenant selection at Merthyr Village  has allowed independent boutiques, bookstores, and eateries to thrive here, including several steeped in Italian tradition. That makes it a great fit for Dello Mano; our name demonstrates our reverence for the Italian dedication to creating delicious, handmade food imbued with love and true passion. We’re located just a stone’s throw from New Farm Park, the green, jacaranda-shaded centerpiece of the neighborhood, featuring weekly farmers’ markets and live entertainment. It’s a perfect place for a picnic — perhaps one featuring some Dello Mano treats.
