In 2006, we left behind corporate careers to chase a dream of bringing luxury handmade brownies to Australia. We started small, baking in a borrowed kitchen at night with our two young children sleeping nearby. Week after week, we loaded up a tiny car and sold our brownies at local markets, guided by a simple belief: real food, made by hand, could be something extraordinary.
It wasn’t just the two of us, it was a family effort. Our daughters were part of the journey from the very beginning, helping us prepare packaging, attending early market stalls, and cheering us on with the wide-eyed belief only children can bring. Their energy, creativity, and patience helped shape Dello Mano into what it is today. And like all small family businesses, we were lifted by the generosity of our parents and family friends from late-night childcare to helping hands at markets and packing tables. Dello Mano was built with love, not just ours, but the love of a community that believed in us.
Our journey was never about shortcuts. It was about showing up with care, working late into the night, and trusting that handmade matters. From our humble beginnings to becoming a favourite among celebrities and top luxury brands, every step has been about staying true to craft and connection.
