Dello Mano’s West End kitchen store offers a rare glimpse into a working handmade bakery, where brownies, cakes, and small-batch treats are crafted daily. For food lovers exploring Brisbane, it’s a place to experience the making process as much as the product itself.
West End has always marched to the beat of its own drum. Quirky, eclectic, creative, and undeniably foodie, it’s the kind of neighbourhood where you can sip artisan coffee in the morning, wander through markets in the afternoon, and end the day with dinner at a buzzing local favourite.
Tucked into this lively precinct is the Dello Mano Kitchen Store — a place that often surprises first-time visitors. It isn’t a polished boutique. Instead, it’s something rarer: a working kitchen at the heart of the brand, where brownies and cakes are crafted in small batches each day.
For over 18 years, we’ve built our reputation on handmade food. At the kitchen store, visitors don’t just purchase something to take away — they experience the process itself, from preparation to presentation.

Dello Mano began in 2006 with a simple idea: to take something humble and elevate it through handmade craft. From our early days at the Brisbane Farmers Markets to supplying some of Australia’s most recognised brands and celebrations, our journey has always centred on one belief — that true luxury is handmade.
Our kitchen store reflects that philosophy in its most immediate form. It’s where the small-batch process unfolds each day, from melting Belgian chocolate and folding rich brownie batter to wrapping each piece carefully by hand.
Unlike polished high-street boutiques, this space is the living heart of production. For food lovers, that’s what makes it special. You’re not stepping into a staged showroom, but into a working kitchen where the aroma of chocolate lingers and the rhythm of making continues throughout the day.
Visiting our kitchen store is a sensory experience — a place where the process is as present as the product. Here’s what you’ll find:
Handmade Brownies — Our Signature
The brownies that first defined Dello Mano are prepared and wrapped here each day. Visitors often notice the aroma before anything else, along with the quiet rhythm of each piece being finished by hand.
Celebration Cakes
From red velvet to mousse tortes, our cakes are designed for birthdays, gatherings, and milestones. Many customers choose to order online and collect in-store, making it a simple way to bring something handmade into a special occasion.
Little Luxuries & Edible Gifts
Shelves are lined with travel-friendly treats — granola, ginger nut biscuits, rum balls — thoughtfully packaged and easy to take with you or share.
These items also form part of our Brisbane food gifts selection, where handmade treats are designed for sharing, gifting, and taking a taste of the city with you.
Elegant Wrapping & Presentation
Our signature striped boxes with grosgrain ribbon are assembled here, each one prepared with the same care as the food inside. Whether it’s a single brownie or a larger gift, every package is intended to feel considered.
The magic of the kitchen store isn’t found in polished retail displays, but in the atmosphere of a working space where food is made by hand.
The scent of brownies baking in the ovens.
The quiet rhythm of the wrapping team, carefully finishing each piece.
Customers pausing to ask about the process, curious about the story behind what they’re seeing.
It’s a place where the luxury is real — not defined by shine or presentation, but by chocolate, time, and craftsmanship. Visitors often describe it as stepping behind the scenes of Brisbane’s food culture, an honest and tactile experience that feels increasingly rare.
Our West End Brisbane Kitchen Store draws two types of visitors: loyal locals and curious foodies from further afield.
Locals love dropping in for a weekend brownie fix, a birthday cake pickup, or to grab a box of Little Luxuries as a last-minute gift.
Visitors often hear about us through word of mouth or foodie guides. They come to West End not just to buy brownies, but to see where Brisbane’s most iconic brownie was born.
Celebrities & brands have made Dello Mano part of their own celebrations — and while the glamour sometimes surprises people, our West End store is proof that authenticity lies at the core of it all.
One returning visitor once said:
“It’s not fancy, but that’s what makes it special. You can smell the brownies, you can feel the care, you can see that everything really is handmade. It’s the true taste of Brisbane.”
Jane, Sheldon
