Liberty Store London

The Liberty Store is located in Regent St. London. Although it was taken over in the 2000's by an equity firm, it still holds very true to its artistic and unique heritage. First opened in 1875 by entrepreneur Arthur Liberty the store has a long history of developing relationships with designers and artists. Arthur really showed amazing entrepreneur  spirit by starting the store with a loan of 2000 pounds from his father in law. Not only did he pay it back in the first 18 months but then proceeded to acquire neighbouring buildings until creating the large store that stands today.

The tudor style facade was apparently created in the 1920's from timber obtained from two ships!

The store recently won a best department store award and our visit certainly illustrated the reasons for this award. The displays, merchandising and varied produce certainly makes for an experience that is different to most department store visits. 

The entrance of the store is flanked with the most gorgeous fresh flowers - puts you in a great mood just entering.

The shop fit outs are amazing - unique and artistic. The store is made up of several smaller rooms creating a really lovely shopping experience and also provides for different ambience as you pass from one to the next.
