My Blue Bench

I don't know about you, but when I have precious time at home I love to play around with furniture and create a new little place to sit, read a magazine and enjoy a cup of tea. This old Kodak bench is from the original Kodak factory - apparently made by the tradesman at the factory in Melbourne and used in the then garden grounds of the processing plant.

Anyone who knows me is very familiar with the fact that I love Porters Paints and with any time at all on my hands I enthusiastically leap with paint brush ready and paint something (some would say anything) one of their amazing colours.  I always feel so much better after creative time with some real colour! I had painted this old Kodak bench Porters Frieda a few months ago and finally today I got around to placing it in some shade with the plan to enjoy the new space. With limited time it was a matter of make do with whatever else was around to finish the little story,  I grabbed some old pots and stand from under one of the trees and nestled them beside my bench.

It is true isnt it, that some times it is the little things in life that are so pleasing? I made myself that pot of tea and enjoyed not only the little spot I had created but also the sense of completion in finally getting around to moving that bench!
