As a small business Dello Mano supports the Queensland Women's Legal Service. This weekend we assisted by sponsoring  Aishwarya's High Tea. The event was held at the Emporium Hotel in South Brisbane.

Aishwarya Somal was nominated by her friends to compete in the Dancing CEO event. The event features company CEOs who step it up in a dance competition. It will be held in May 2022. Each of the nominated contestants fundraises leading up to the competition.

The Dancing CEOs has a mission to support the Women' Legal Service. This service provides very important free legal and welfare to Queensland women and their children at risk from domestic and family violence.

Aishwarya was the recipient of the Lord Mayors Young Business Person of the Year in 2020. She is a mother of two and Director of Emerson Family Law and Everson Migration Law. She has been a practising lawyer for over ten years.

The High Tea was attended by over 130 people supporting Aishwarya in her fundraising activities. Speakers at the event included the Lady Mayoress, Nina Schrinner. Her presentation included some startling facts. One of which was that over 30% of calls made to the Women's Legal Service cannot be answered. This fact made even more heartbreaking given that it is so difficult to call in the first place. It's unknown if when a call is unanswered how many women have the confidence or opportunity to call back again.

Yesterday's High Tea at the Emporium was a lovely way to support Aishwarya.

High Tea guests were treated to scones and a Dello Mano Brownie

The High Tea was a delicious combination of ribbon sandwiches, pastries, scones and of course our favourite, pastries. It was a pleasure to support the event, enjoy the High Tea and the conviviality at our table.

A raffle was held in support of the fundraiser. There was much excitement around many great prizes including a fabulous Brisbane City Private Helicopter tour generously donated by V2Helipcopters.

Dello Mano supported the event by providing a Luxury Brownie cube at each table setting.

We were delighted to assist Aishwarya in her fund raising activities for this incredibly important service to Queensland Women.

Come competition time later this year, we wish Aishwarya all the very best with her dancing skills!
