As we continue to navigate the small business landscape, it's important to recognize that success often emerges from embracing the process, a concept beautifully exemplified by our journey at Dello Mano. When we embarked on this adventure in 2006, our primary motivation was driven by an insatiable need to express our creativity.

In a world where cupcakes and macarons were the reigning stars, we found ourselves drawn to brownies as our chosen canvas. Though not the trendiest choice at the time, we felt an undeniable pull towards creating something unique and meaningful. This pull was so strong that it overshadowed the clamour of trends and the allure of conventionality.

From early on until the present, our days are marked by the passionate pursuit of our creative vision. As we unveiled our Brownie Gift Box and packaging concepts, we were met with mixed reactions. Brownies as a premium chocolate filled delight and Gift Brownies were totally new in Australia. The memory of that first day at the New Farm Farmers' Market remains vivid – a woman's incredulous voice echoing, "Can you even make a business out of brownies?"

Amidst skepticism, we made a conscious choice. We resolved to stay true to our creativity, regardless of the prevalent norms. This decision led us down a path where we faced challenges head-on, turning them into opportunities for growth and innovation. The lack of established boundaries allowed our creativity to flourish.

With every batch of brownies, we continued to hone our craft, refining our artistry with ease. The absence of rigid guidelines enabled us to explore uncharted territories, uncovering our best work along the way. Our journey is a testament to the idea that the absence of limitations nurtures boundless creativity.

Over time, we realised that the path to success was not about imitating others but about authentically representing ourselves. Our success was born from an unwavering commitment to our own vision, a commitment that set us apart in a sea of conformity and later copies.
