With so many chocolate stores in Paris it makes sense to ensure differentiation . Richarts have set a sophisticated and clean style that sets their presentation apart.

We visited Richart's chocolate shop at both 27 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th and also 258 Boulevard St. Germain.

Joseph Richart began making  chocolate in 1925 in Lyons (France).  A second generation are now responsible for continuing the families chocolate traditions. As well as the two chocolate shops in Paris more chocolate awaits in Lyon (  3 chocolate shops) and the delicious French chocolate also extends now to a couple of other countries - USA and we think Korea.

This store despite its long heritage has quite a contemporary white image of which  resembles a very premium make up department.

Chocolate and chocolate gifts are the offer here - all beautifully displayed and presented in the white theme imagery. Single origin ballotins presented in very chic thin morsels and many chocolate pack types including the lovely drawers shown in our picture.

Classic filled chocolates as well as a number of more contemporary styles are offered. Co-ordinated colour transfers on top of chocolates make the boxes look very appealing.

We did not try the jellies - let us know if you have?

Chocolate indulgence this is  most definitely however, more pastry shops await on the Rue Bonaparte in the 6th.!
